While going on a journey to be successful there are many up and downs that can create a stronger person or knock a person down. When a person keeps on fighting over and over without giving up he or she are described to be ambitious like Jane Golden who was mentioned in Purpose by Angela Duckworth. Continuing to go further and further a person will run into others who are in need of help, and the right thing to do is be caring like Louie Zamperini who is viewed as a hero in today’s world and in Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Once reaching a stage in life that is comfortable a person will soon discovered happiness. Principal Ms.Short is starting find happiness at Solon High School. In the reading Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand and witnessing all of the harsh problems that Louie had to face, I could predict that he will soon be at the state of being happy. Louie struggled to withdraw from the war and continue to have fear from it. He decided to visit back to the scene and started to lose his fear and emotion. The author points out the turning point by concluding, “His rage, his humiliation, his helplessness, had fallen away. His dignity had returned. That morning, he believed he was a new creation” (Hillenbrand 269). Louie found his happiness and became a better version of himself. When looking to find happiness it isn’t just about doing something for your own good. Erin Short learned that happiness could be found in any event by affecting others. Ms.Short stated, “ Yes, I think selfishness is a part of human nature. But it is not a trait I have to combat very often because I am happiest when I am helping others reach their goals.” By not being self centered and being more opened to others, Ms.Short found it more simply to find
