The Softball Game It is the fifth inning. There is two outs, bases are loaded, and the score is nine to nine. This is the most important game of the season. It is the state championship. I look up at the lights. They are blazing right into my eyes. As I get ready to pitch the ball, I realize the girl up to bat is their best hitter. The count is three balls, and two strikes.
