The Setting of William Shakespeare's Macbeth

The play is all based in modern times. All of the characters are from

a big company in London and are on a business trip in New York City.

Macbeth is the assistant Managing Director of the company and kills

the Managing Director so that he can become the Managing Director,

owning the company.

I have chosen the following cast for my two scenes of Macbeth:

Macbeth

=======

Steve McFadden aka Phil Mitchell, I have chose this actor because he

is seen as quite an evil and spooky person who would be seen to do

something like this. Also he is the kind of person who wants to be in

charge.

Lady Macbeth

============

Catherine Zeta-Jones, I have chose this actress because she is quite a

sneaky person and seems like a person who would push someone to so

something. She also seems like a powerful woman.

Murderer

========

Vinnie Jones, I have chosen this actor because he is a violent person

and looks scary as if he could murder someone. He takes on this role

in many of his films, i.e. a thuggish person in Snatch.

Ghost of Banquo

===============

Josh Hartnett, I have chose him because when he is put in pale make up

he looks like a spooky person. Also in Pearl Harbour when he is dead

he looks spooky so he would be good as a ghost.

Lennox

======

Leonardo Di Caprio, I have chose him because he is a kind and friendly

character and he looks very smart in a suit which would be appropriate

for his role in the play.

Ross

====

Pierce Brosnan, I have chose this actor because he is a helpful person

and looks smart in a suit which as with Lennox is appropriate for the

scene.

Clothing

========

All of the cast will be dressed smartly as they are on a business trip

in New York.
