On January 14th, I spent a total of 85 minutes exploring the ART 150 Matrix. I visited the following 14 links, spending at least five minutes each in the ones followed by an asterisk: EU, PM, KR*, QC, AX*, RU*, KA, QZ*, YJ, TK*, CC, IO, BL*, BR. I spent more time on the videos, not only because it took more time to watch them but because they were better examples to see and understand film and animation. From the short story to the music video, each had they own story, purpose, and something to learn. The first link I was truly fascinated with was a short video of Buster Keaton in “The Railrodder” because though the short film had no lines it had a funny story and I could understand everything that was going through the mind of and around the characters. Buster Keaton, who plays the main character, is known for his acting, directing, and doing nearly all of his own stunts. It is incredible the things he was able to do even as he got much older and continued to do stunts. He was mainly recognized for being a physical comedian though he always had a stony, expressionless face in all his films. Voice actors have begun to be recognized as much celebrities as screen actors. I hope we go through some of the developments of that scene. I don’t have anything that I wouldn't mind learning about when it comes to film and animation because I don’t have much previous knowledge of it. My only knowledge of theatre comes from being theatre technician in high school, meaning I understand the mind of actors but that's it. Otherwise, I enjoy watching movies, animated or not, and look forward to seeing the old school films and development of
