The main purpose a bureaucracy serve is “to carry out the task of government consistent with the law” (Kollman). Bureaucracy are here to do the work of the government, rather than making the big decision. One example can be when President Kennedy made the decision that the USA would launch a man to the moon, it was The National Aeronautics and Space Admission’s job to get the man up there. Since every time when a president goes into office they begin to make decision and since we had a total of 44 presidents that’s means for each decision they make a Bureaucracy is or has an opportunity to be formed and that’s why we have a lot of them. An example of bureaucracy having an effect in American politics is when the Department of Defense was created back in 1947. Now a day we see our president pouring a lot of money into this department and help improving our countries defense.
Question 3) Since America was mainly built on the ideology of being “united” it would only be normal to agree the reason our Founding Fathers did not want political parties in our government system is because they feared that such idea would separate the people, and it has. They feared that our country would become split in to two, which today it has. You are either Democrat or Republican. One of the main reasons why political parties even exist is due to America’s ideology of Single-member plurality electoral (SMPD) or also known as “winner takes all”. Which has been mathematically proven to create a two-party system (no matter how many parties it started it with) as time goes on.
