The writing process is a long and detailed process, there are five stages of writing and each stage is Made up of it’s own components. All of these components and stages work together and when done right they all come together to form a well written piece, weather it is an essay or a research paper the writing process is used for all types of writing.

During the last eight weeks of this class i have learned about how the writing process works and how to use it to improve my writing. In this stage you are required to changes, working on the flow, reorganization, adding transitions, omitting repetitous information and invading more salient detail, considering word choice, precision, and clarity. (MindEdge, Module One, English Composition One) The rewriting process improves a students writing because it makes you question the things that you thought you had correct and make sure that you have everything in the order they belong, making sure that there are minimal errors with your writing however in this stage it isn 't time to worry about spelling, grammar, mechanical, usage or punctuation errors that comes later in the writing process.

The fourth stage of the writing process is proofreading this is where you go line by line to edit each word,sentance, and punctuation mark. In this stage you will also want to check for any grammatical, mechanical, punctual, spelling, and usage error it is also good to have a second pair of eyes for this stage from a peer, co-worker, or family member so that if there are any errors they can catch them. This helps students because getting critique from someone else is very beneficial because you can miss small errors from focusing on your writing for so
