This necessity of life is everywhere around us. It is more abundance than the ground of which you stand on; it glimmers under the bright sun; it ripples in the wind, and it gave birth to many intellectual civilizations. This necessity of life can conform into any shapes and sizes. It can be the genesis of life, but it can also bring death. This versatile, natural compound is used to provide electricity to million of people; it is the bearer of nostalgic memories, and a symbol for the summer season.
Water, we use water to prevent thirst, as well as to prevent dirt. It has the capability to benefit our health in different ways. However, some people choose to neglect utilizing it to the fullest. Increase in water consumption may help maintain an ideal weight, enhance athletic performance, and improve one’s cognition; as well as helping us prevent disease such as the coronary heart disease.
Water is essential for maintaining life on earth. It makes up more than half of the earth and on average 60% of the human body weight (Benelam and Wyness 3). Water performs important function in the body. It regulates human waste product including feces and urine. Water also helps clean, and maintain a healthy kidney. Since water is such an important substance in our life; how much water do we need? According to David Benton, a Psychobiology professor at the University of Wales Swansea, in the United States...we should drink about eight eight ounce glasses of water per day (about 1.9L) (1). However, this number is subject to changes. The daily recommendation varies among different countries. Water is not the only source for daily fluid consumption. We can obtain fluids from food and beverages too.
