Napoleon Bonaparte was the first French Military leader to become an Emperor. Napoleon was born on 1769, Corsica, France. He is one of the most celebrated leaders in the history of the West, he revolutionized military organization and training, created Napoleonic Code, promoted and encouraged education and established the long-lived peace treaty with the church. Napoleon died on May 5th, 1821, on his death bed of an island, St. Helena, which was located in the South Atlantic Ocean. In his life, Napoleon showed that if you had great knowledge you had power, that he used his power responsibly and irresponsibly from different point of views of people, and he affected the economic standing all over Europe.
Napoleon should knowledge equaled power throughout his life. He started to show it at age 9 when he was sent a military school. From there Napoleon looked up to older classmates and people who were in the military and he strived to be like them. During school, Napoleon would take the role as a leader to his classmates and direct them on what to do. An example of this is for fun him and his classmates would have war based snowball fights and he would lead his “soldiers” against the enemy. He learned basic leadership from military school and tested it in real life scenarios such as snowball fights. During his studies at school, Napoleon realized he always had to win against someone, or just win in general. He strived to be better than everyone and cram as much knowledge of military and soldier basics into his head so he could be the best. He could be a winner. When he 16 he graduated with lots of knowledge and still at heart wanted to be a leader, he started off as an Artillery Lieutenant. From there he worked his way up the branche...

...n’s system. This lead to the Peninsular War. This war it was killed off Napoleon and his troops. He lost most of his troops and lost a lot of power. Napoleon was down for the count and country was kicked in the head economically and physically from this mistake.
Overall, Napoleon was a great war leader for the French. He got his power through books and military school. He was always learning and studying so he can be the best of the best. He wanted to win and be leader and that’s what he got because of his knowledge. Making that one mistake with the Continental System really ended his ruling but other than that he helped out France and a country a ton. Such as adding laws, getting a strong army, making the people be able to have free religion, and things like that. Napoleon was a great leader with great decisions, just that one mistake lead to the end of his reign.
