What is a water wheel? Many people ask about what a water wheel is used for and by the end of this essay they will be knowing more about this topic. The water wheels were invented in late 1870's. The chinese of the Eastern Han Dynasty used water wheels to crush grain in mills or power the piston-bellows in forging iron into cast iron("Waterwheel"). Waterwheels of ancient China had a positive impact on the society's balance of power, while impacting the economy in different ways, the environment was impacted very badly. First, it would be negative because even though people would love to not have to crush grains all by hand and have something else to crush it for them would be good, but it would be expensive to build a waterwheel and have it produce electricity for themselves or to hire someone to help them with crushing grains or to cast iron. They would have to buy or arrange a large piece of wood, a lot of buckets, and a few other materials so that it would work. Just to build one water wheel, it would take up a lot of money and time. It would also be negative because it would take a lot of time, with that time that took one to build and find the materials they need, there could be a lot of things that could have been done with that time. When someone buys materials, it would take a lot of their wealth/money, they would be wasting money on making one water wheel, with that money they could have bought food for the family and buy a few other furniture or clothes that could have been used at home. It would be positive because once the water wheel was done, it would be crushing grains and casting iron for them, it could also go for a very long time, if there are no problems with it. Also, making a water wheel would decrease the wealth that one owns and after it's built, but it would increase the wealth one owns because they wouldn't be wasting their own money in hiring someone to crush the grains or do something else for
