Social media has taken over our lives, especially the lives of teenagers. It seems that everywhere that we go, we can see a person on their smartphone using any form of social media. In the news or research papers, social media is viewed as bad because they have taken teenagers’ lives and making them lazier. However, it’s not necessarily true; social media can have its benefit. From people communicating with their long distance family members, becoming famous, or people using the social media platform as a way to express themselves. Tumblr is a website where people can connect to people around the world and be their own individual.

However, Tumblr has its limit. For example, a person can only post 250 posts per day. Out of those 250 posts, a person is only allowed to post 150 original posts. Furthermore, some users have more than one account connect to their main one, known as a sideblog, but this regulation applies to all of their blogs as a whole. Having this regulation, it restricts a user being online the whole day and being smart on what they post. Another limitation that Tumblr has is asking ten questions per hour to any user. Many Tumblr users communicate, though ‘Ask, ' if they were no limit, many users could spend their whole time interacting with each other. There could be some people that can argue that having limitations on how many posts they can post/reblog and how many questions that are allowed ask is ridiculous, but I believe is not. Becoming addicted to any social media can have many effects on a person because they focus so much on the Internet.
