The Positive Effects Of Social Media

In the last 50 years the internet’s influence has grown exponentially with the advance of technology. In communications revolutions, first there was the telegraph, then the radio, the newspaper, magazines, television and now the internet. We live in a society that depends on information and communication to keep moving in the right direction and do our daily activities like work, health care, education, personal relationships, and anything else that we have to do. What we need to be aware is that most of our decisions, beliefs and values are based on what we know for a fact； our assumptions and our own experience. In our work we usually know what we have to do based on our experience and studies, however in our daily lives we rely on the media to get the current news and facts about what is important and what we should be aware of. What effect does the social media have on people? Is the social media bringing convenience to people? Nowadays, social media and technology have become a necessary part of almost any field. There are not many activities that are not affected by it. It affects health, education, communication and so on. All they show us that importance and threats of social media, we need to treat it properly. (maybe end the thesis with this instead - “Despite the positive effects of internet technology however, there are dangers if we don’t use it properly and productively.”)

Meanwhile,with the development of the technology, more and more people like to make friends by internet. Some of them actually find their friends. However, not every one is lucky. We all know that there are people or some companies that cheat people in order to get money. It’s a pity that they are deceived by their so-called friends.

One more paragraph - how do you suggest we use the internet in a positive way and avoid the negatives?

In a conclusion, it is recognized that the social media will bring about convenience and benefits to our living. Meanwhile, it will also ruin our living. Only when we have realized this point and increase the public’s consciousness of safety, we can make the most use of the internet and help our life.
