There is always a fierce discussion on use of technology in manufacturing & engineering industries over job reduction on implementation of newer technologies. But slowdown in economic growth across advanced economies led us to conclude other side that new technologies & innovation have no or very less impact on growth. With new innovations & technologies, human and smart systems can together boost worker’s capabilities, resulting in improved performance, safety, and worker job satisfaction, resulting in business growth. One good example of this is smart glass equipped with Augmented Reality in manufacturing, field service environments that overlay computer-generated graphic/drawing onto physical objects like step-by-step repair instruction hovering over malfunctioned part, visually guiding a worker through the job. Wearable devices equipped with AR are now used more in industrial settings and thereby augmenting worker’s productivity on a task which is handled first time or without need of prior training for that task. Thus Augmented Reality assists workers by making them more skilled & efficient, and thus has potential to create more economic growth and
