1. Take advantage of the time you have with people, hold everyone close. In The Kite Runner Amir takes advantage of Hassan to find out many years later that Hassan has died. Amir thinks that he can apologize to Hassan anytime he wants, but that isn't always the case. You never know when someone can pass away, and you don’t want to regret not spending any time with them. Amir has feelings of regret, because of his lack of effort to find Hassan. Chris Kyle, was an American soldier who had a movie made in his honor after his tragic, and unexpected death. During your life you want to leave an impression on the people you meet in a positive way. If you watch the news you may see different stories of people who have passed away from cancer, but they were positive about their lives the whole time they were sick. These people create a chain reaction around the world of positivity, and encourage people to keep fighting the battles they have in their life. If you think about their death in a positive way, then he or she has already left an impression on you. I can also connect this rule too many books that I have read. The Fault in our Stars showed how you can meet someone, and affect their life instantly. When Hazel met Augustus, he changed her life in a positive way, and gave her a reason to want to live. Before Hazel met him she was always alone, and never socialized with anyone outside of her family. She left an impression on Augustus, and his family. I am assuming that someone you care about has passed away before. Based on this assumption, I can say that, that person affected you in a way that made you grief over losing him or her. I can relate to you, and many other people. My best friend passed away from cancer when I was in sixth grade.
