This paper will tell the story of why it is important that the criminal justice field have probation officers, and what they do daily for our community. When we think of the probation field, we think that they have it the easiest, but sadly that is far from true. You will learn how hard of a job it can be for probation officers, and just how much they have on their plate. As I was talking with the probation officers, I wanted to find out why did he pick the probationary field? As he stated, “He enjoys helping and trying to get his clients to better themselves, after committing a crime.” Just when you hit rock bottom, that does not always mean you can’t get back up again. That’s where the probation field comes into play. They are the ones that try and give them the last chance to change before either going back to jail, or being let free back into reality. They need to make sure that they have completed every task that was asked of them, and that the probation officers, have offered and done all that they could for their client to not commit anymore crimes. …show more content…

As he stated “they use interpreters for certain clients, have monthly meetings and seminars they have to attend, to also learn about changes in the cultural needs.” As the demographic keeps changing, they will continue to keep enhancing their curriculum and learning to continue to better for society. It’s very important for the probation officers to know about their religion, and the way that they live their lives. Each diverse group has their own way of living, and it is very important for the probation officers, to stay updated and current with the changes in the way of living. But, it is also important that they know our law system, and adapt to the changes in society for them, so they learn not to commit the crime that they have
