Why do people shoplifting? Reasons why people may have shoplifted are the sibling role models or wanting to gain attention. There are approximately 27 million shoplifters, 25 percent are kids, and 75 percent are adults. An average shoplifter would steal at least twice a week but, in my case, shoplifting occurred more than twice a week. I was never told if shoplifting was normal or not normal however, shoplifting made me happy when I shoplifted. Through multiple experiences, I learned that shoplifting is not only abnormal, but it is harmful to my past relationship and reputation. For example, when I went school shopping me mom would warned my family each item is limited to under seven dollars and two shirts pairing with two bottoms. With this situation, both of my older brothers started to shoplifted until one got caught and the store no longer allowed my brothers to enter the store. Soon, other stores followed stating none of the brothers are allowed to enter. I faced the fact that shoplifting banned people, my sisters and I started to shoplift somewhere small such as Dollar Tree. My sister and I were at the age where it was glamorous to look like a model, so we often stole makeup like eyeshadow palette, mascara, and bright bold lipstick. Entering the store with confidence and wearing a baggy long sleeve with a causal bottom, speaking with a strong audible tone about the family weekend plans, I casually continued shopping. This silent treatment introduced Korean, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese TV shows which I still enjoy very much; however, I was more interested in Chinese TV shows because of the meaningful and simple moral lesson. From the Chinese Television series, The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre, Zhang Wuji 's life was a roller coaster as he moved from the middle class to a beggar to a highly loyal and respected man. The color of Wuji 's life went from neutral to a colorful rainbow with confusion, love and life: a beautiful beating drum against the ears. The moral lesson is to forgive and forget in order to seek peace in life. This series has helped me realize that being greedy and selfish toward what I want won 't bring long-term happiness. My thirst for shoplifting has slowly closed and I am gradually gaining happiness. I feel like the whole world has opened bigger to a safe path. Now, whenever I go shopping I would gradually gather items into the cart to satisfy myself as if I 've actually bought the product. Even today, I am using this strategy to help control my appetite to buy useless
