Being part of the law community takes a lot, but here are many techniques that are being used to become a local crime expert. Becoming a local crime expert would help the department to be more informed of the situation or the crime. Herman gave me an understanding were problem-oriented policing is today. Something new I learned was that it takes a strong commitment to follow the strategies of problem- oriented policing.
