There are certain things that go on in a classroom that can change the whole dynamic of teaching for each classroom. For some it can be some students have a learning disability, the teaching style, bullying happening to the students in the class, etc. The way to make sure you have the best running classroom is to make sure everyone is comfortable in your classroom and that you are meeting the needs of the students. Arne Duncan slammed American teaching colleges for doing a “mediocre job of preparing teachers, particularly in how to manage classrooms. One thing that has to remain the same is teacher have to be consistent; rather that is in rules, teaching or consequences because it will show the students that you mean what you say. You just have to find what works for you and that group of kids and be willing to stick with it. Also it might change every year because every group of students are different so you just have to be open and willing but also consistent when it comes to classroom management.
The last big thing that is changing in schools is the use of technology. St. Mary Episcopal School took on a new approach to teaching math as well as other basic knowledge components for the pre- school level children.
