The Protestant Reformation was when the authority and powers of the catholic church were going down. The reason this happened was because of the Black Death, The Renaissance etc. The impacts of the Reformation were that many wars erupted in europe between Catholics and Protestants. The date when this started was October 31, 1517. Europe grew more unstable do to all the wars that were happening there. The impacts that had on monarchs were they had to raise the taxes to get more soldiers. But when they did that all they did was make the citizens more unhappy. The way power went up is the some citizens still payed taxes so they got bigger armies to fight the Protestants with. When the church started losing power the people started not going
