Since the beginning of time technology has been around, we have seen this the the invention of the wheel for example. Ever since the wheel technology has been advancing helping out men and women making their lives easier. But it did not stop there it kept on growing and will continue to grow years after years. Technology was pretty simple when it was first made back in the 4th millennium BC, but it can not always stay the same. Since technology has been changing exponentially it has been changing the music industry as well, changing the everyday lives of humankind. It has changed the music industry for the better and to some others for the worse. It has changed by improving and making the industry more advanced than how it used to be. Technology has changed the music industry for the better because of popularity, variety, and digital downloading, Technology has changed the music industry in the past years.The music has had the opportunity to expand distribution to the world and fans of music. But when downloading became reality the music industry tried to fight against the change. Then they attempted to keep control of the music industry and keep it the same also while keeping a high profit for selling, but eventually this backfired. What the music industry had planned was not what they wanted but instead they got the opposite of what they wanted. Also technology has changed by online downloading. Since online downloading has been used or introduced the selling of actual CD’s has decreased. People have found online downloading cheaper so they found no need to buy CD’s. Plus people have also found online downloading much easier so they don't need to waste their time going out and looking for the CD they want then can’t seem to fi... ... middle of paper ... ...on two, variety. With all these new changes music couldn't stay the same they had to spice it up a little. Music needed that extra umph so other artists that are not really that known took the original song and remixed it. This made people more interested in listening. There was just so many different options to listen to that people just kept listening to random songs they find and spread it to their friends who show it to their friends and so forth. The third and final reason is digital downloading. Since digital downloading has came into play it has made the way for people to find download and buy music a lot more easier. It has made the music industry slowly die but it has made it easier for people to buy music from the comfort of their own homes. These are the main reasons why technology has changed the music industry for the better. something about the future
