Love is the intense feeling of deep affection. For example, feeling a deep attraction to someone. Love doesn’t judge, nor life. Love is patient, kind, and understanding. Love never fails, it always triumph over anything. When you love someone, you fall in love with all of them. You can’t just love the caring and gentle side of them but you have to love the hard edges too, and grumpy moods. You have to love the storm, as well as the sunshine. Love is not always going to be easy but you have to fight if it’s really what you want. And sadly in some cases one person’s love is not enough, and everything just comes tumbling down. He claimed he truly loved her yet he was annoyed by all the little things she did. “I tried to combat these absurd manias.” The husband fought to make Cristiana’s superstition’s go away even when he knew they were a big part of her. He did not truly love her because of he did, he would love all of her. Throughout the story Cristina’s is very specific about her superstations and how she goes about things. Like how she wouldn’t eat strawberry’s in the summer or how there were certain street’s she couldn’t cross. So at this point the reader would assume the husband knew what he was up against. “When we got engaged we had to look for a brand-new apartment because, according to her, the fate of the previous occupants would influence her life.” The reader can clearly see that Cristiana’s had clear instructions on where she wanted to live, but the husband refuses to listen. “I had to make Cristina believe no one had lived in the house and that it was the ideal place, the house of our dreams.” Even knowing what Cristina’s wishes where when it came to where they would spend the rest of their lives, the husband went ahead and decided to lie to her.
