At the start of chapter 5, Gatsby is looking down and Daisy exhibiting his power over her; however now Gatsby seems to be having feelings of affection towards Daisy. He finds the resemblance of daisy’s eyes in all of his belongings. Because of this now, Daisy’s has power over Gatsby, because she seems to have him a sort of trance. 2.
