We sat there for hours, unaware of what comes next. Time held its breath, as all was slowed. I looked over at Jordan in the hope she would say something but to no avail. “Well, Old Sport, perhaps it would be best we all go home.” I nodded and stood up from my spot to give Jordan a farewell. Moments before I could leave, Tom and Daisy drove up in a flurry of anger. Daisy, however, held fear and discomfort in her eyes. “You caused all this, Gatsby. You caused all this rioting and raving. She loves me and there is nothing more you can do.” He was raging and his voice got gruffer and louder the more he spoke. He halted mid-sentence as a screech echoed from a halting car.
