Analysis of “The Girl in Red” from Schindler's List and the “Franz Suchomel’s interview with Claude Lanzman” from Shoah” Introduction: The evolution of political and social establishment of humans have been followed by several holocausts. Some of the most vehement perpetrators of such holocausts were witnessed around the II World War. There were many instances of mass scale slaughter, genocide, annihilation, and exploitation (just to acquire political hegemony during the World War 2) which were surreptitiously disavowed and concealed from the contemporary world. “the scene of “The Girl in Red” from Schindler's List and the scene/segment of “Franz Suchomel’s interview with Claude Lanzman”, from Shoah” share the same cinematic message that led us along the path of understanding how some people can slaughter so many millions of others “without even caring”. These slaughterers continually hide, evade, distort, shift blame, claim ignorance, or simply lie, in order to conceal the truth from the world. They use lie as the first line of their defense. Both the scenes seem to reveal the truth in two different cinematic forms. In the Schindler’s List the revelation of truth is made by the symbolic tools used by the filmmaker in form of “the Girl in Red”. However, in Franz Suchomel’s interview with Claude Lanzman”, from Shoah the reality is revealed through a dedicated effort of the obtaining a live-testimony by the filmmaker himself. This shows a pragmatic approach to reveal the real perpetrators of the horrors of the holocausts. For instance, Suchomel told Lanzman about the episodes of the exterminations that, “They had not been told, he adds, “how and what ... that people were being killed there.
