In Hinduism, death is a very important time. It doesn’t mean the end of life it means the start of a new one. They perform the ritual Shraddha to bless people for their transition from this life to the next. In Islam Ramadan is a very important festival. It is a month long festival that takes place during the ninth month of their year. They use the Islamic calendar which is a lunar-calendar, meaning that the seasons can come at different during the year. Ramadan is a month long fast which means no eating, drinking and smoking during daylight hours. Ramadan is a part of the Five Pillars of Islam called Sawm.
