Pit bulls, the most dangerous dog to ever live. People like to train Pit Bulls to fight other dogs until they are either hurt or dead. The owners that train the dogs are usually the ones that make the dog turn out to be vicious and dangerous. “Each year, 1.2 million dogs are euthanized, approximately 40% of whom are Pit Bulls”(Moore). Pit Bulls don’t know better to understand which is right from wrong since they’re being raised up to fight and protect. Pit Bulls aren’t good family dogs due to the power of their strength and that they could attack at any moment.

The Chichimeca Wars have been a major role in the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs. The wars or mini battles between the two sides occurred 1550-1590, after much of the new colony of Mexico had already been established. The Spanish ended up engaging in the longest and most expensive conflict they ever had with Indigenous people. The wars started after the land in which the tribe lived was found to be abundant in silver ore and led to the Spanish establishing mines. The Spanish government adopted a policy of “War of Fire and Blood” which meant the death and enslavement, as well as mutilation of the Chichimeca people. The policy had no effect and failed, instead they decided to make peace with the natives was a better option. The Spanish called this process “peace by purchase”. The Spanish learned from the Chichimeca Wars how to effectively deal with native populations that are resistant to the Spanish settling in the future. This stand by the Chicimeca people is significant to the conquering of the Aztecs as it was one of the last attempts made by a native group to stand up against the invaders that were the Spanish colonizing Mexico.
Recognized as one of the most fearless and violent cartels in all of Mexico, Los Zetas was brought forth by a need for personal security in the Gulf Cartel. This former hit man/security style operation, active since 1997, has since grown into its own ruthless and violent organization becoming the second most powerful cartel and easily the most feared in all of Mexico. Heavily trained and armed, members of Los Zetas are set apart from other cartels because of the level of brutality they are willing to administer to those who cross them, though they had initially hoped that by being more intimidating they would have to fight less. It is their command of the drug market, their lack of fear in using violent tactics, and the sheer level of brutality used by their members that sets this cartel apart from all others. It is their disregard for human life and their ties to the United States drug markets that cause Los Zetas to pose a significant danger to border communities across the southern border of the U.S.

Two men, tired of Anglo men taking the rights of the Chicano people and forcing them to live lives of worry and horror, decided that they would have to stand up to defend their people. All Chicanos wanted is to be left alone and to preserve their rights, after all they were on their land that the Americans stole.

In each of the cases the coyote plays a huge role in the novel. The coyote in the novel is a symbol regarding the characraters engagements and their lifestyles. The first time the coyote appears in the novel, it had eaten one of the Mosschaber’s dogs by jumping over the fence. The family was left heart broken, so they decided to construct a bigger fence to keep out the coyotes. However, even with the bigger fence, the coyote managed to jump and eat the other dog of the Mosschaber’s. It appears that the coyote would do just about anything to survive. The community of Arroyo Blanco plans to build a wall/gate to keep out “the Salvadorans, the Mexicans, the blacks, the gangbangers, and the taggers and carjackers…” Even though the Mosschaber’s put up a bigger fence to keep the coyotes out, it failed, just as the wall may not keep the illegal immigrants out. Delayne is an author for a local newspaper and wrote about the problem with the coyotes stating, “ One coyote, who makes his iving on the fringes of my community… has learned to simply chew his way through the plastic irrigation pipes whenever he wants a drink.” This quote signifies how the coyote shares a similar lifestyle as to that of the illegal immigrants. The coyote is parallel to Candido and America. They are illegal immigrants who are living on the bottom of the hills trying to live of the land. This is exactly what the coyote does. It too lives of the land surrounding Arroyo Blanco. Delayne also mentions about calling the county animal control to trap the coyotes, which is similar as calling “la migra” to pick up the illegals off the land and set them in the other side of the
Exotic pets threaten the safety of the community for they pose potential risks of injury and fatality. Natural animal instincts and lack of proper care can trigger destructive behaviours of animals, injuring their owners or other community members. There has been a total of 543 human injuries and 75 deaths as a result of exotic pets, including 52 year old woman killed by a Bengali tiger (http://channel.nat......). These numbers illustrate the risk that exotic animals pose to owners and community members. Keith Gisser, an exotic reptile owner claims he's “not the kind of animal owner neighbours need to worry about”, yet Brian Johnson Gisser's neighbour says on of the reptile owner's snakes escaped into his backyard (www.wkyc.com....). Injury and fatalities are a risk, endangering the community when exotic animals are kept as pets which is yet another reason why owning them should be illegal.
So no matter all the things that Mexico has already gone through it just never ends because even now Mexico has its up and downs. Some parts of Mexico are nice places to go and visit for vacation but ever since 2007-2008 drugs and cartels started running Mexico and using it to ship their drugs and store their drugs which is now the problem we are still facing today in Mexico and it’s not only Mexico but Mexico seems to be the number one drug ran country that’s all over the news.
Wow! Look at that Pit Bull! Pit Bulls can be harmful. When you look at a Pit Bull you think “Oh my gosh! It’s going to attack me!” When it’s not anything like that. They are very sweet and help out a lot. They will not hurt you at all in any way. They usually only attack because of their owners. They do not do it because of their breed it the owner they mistreat them and disrespect them and they get scared and think you will hurt them so they attack you.
