A sociopath is more than what the media depicts it to be. Dan Scott, a fictional character on the TV Drama of One Tree Hill, possesses the traits of being a sociopath. Over the course of several years, Dan kills his brother due to jealously, ruins his relationships with family and friends, and shows his true colors as a person. To the naked eye, one would wonder why this would appeal to society, and there is one simple answer: it is not viewed as ordinary. There is this myth that all sociopaths are psychopaths and that the rarity of this mental disease would never be experienced by ordinary people.
