In the breakfast club a group of 5 students have the unfortunate turnout of having Saturday detention together with a teacher most despise. If this isn’t bad enough everyone of the 5 students are completely different from one another you’ll see the jock, the pretty girl, the delinquent, the nerd, and the weird girl. In the beginning they are all not very tolerant of each other because they are not friends and don’t get along but that will change throughout the movie. The characters in this story over just one Saturday quickly move from an out group to an in group. At first they didn’t want anything to do with each other until they found some common ground with not liking the teacher who was running the detention because of how rude and controlling he was. They still argued with each other till discussing each other’s lives and families. The big turning point though was when they snuck out to go to the one student's locker where he pulled out marijuana and though the jock disagreed the rest followed so did he and after being chased by the teacher through the halls trying to get back to the library they hit a dead end …show more content…

In high school now people form cliques. These are groups with others that have similar interests as them who they will be friends with and associate themselves with. Some people don’t have just one or if they do they are not always in the same one. People will sometimes move from one clique to the other such as in the case of if someone who isn’t an athlete begins to play a sport. They might begin to bond with others who play the same sport as them quickly making them a clique. Believe it or not cliques are a good thing. They give you a group of people that you can be yourself around and express yourself around with out being judged or feeling awkward. A group of people that will be there for you when you need and ones you will typically spend a lot of time
