The Awakenings was viewed on cinemas back in 1990, directed by Penny Marshall and based on the book of Oliver Sacks with the title itself. Based on a true story, it portrays Dr. Sacks life and experience with the patients of the Chronix Hospital who temporarily awakened by a drug used for patients with Parkinsons disease. In the movie, a story of hope, care and love of life, family and friends will be tackle. A moving story of friendship of Dr. Malcolm Sayer and a patient, Leonard Lowe, who lost his 30 years, frozen at a chronic hospital. This is apparent in the detailed description of the clothing, houses, and everyday discussions and interactions of the characters throughout the book. Though not all historically correct most of what is in the book is accurate.
