The Assassination of John F Kennedy From source B we can learn many things about JFK's assassination. We learn that JFK was hit by 2 shots the second one killing him apparently hitting from the back, into his right temple. Source B also stated that 3 shots were fired from the sixth floor of the Texas schoolbook depository. The rifleman was named Lee Harvey Oswald. Source B declares the assassination weapon to be a Mannlincher - carcano rifle. Source B written by the Warren Commission states Oswald had no accomplices. To me this seems quite unbelievable. People who knew him in the marines said he had a 'Pathetic Shot.' The gun he apparently used would not be a weapon likely to be used in an assassination attempt, as it was such a poor weapon. I think source B is very unbelievable, as it was written by the Warren Commission, so therefore could be biased. How useful is Source A in supporting the View of Source B, that Lee Harvey Oswald was responsible for the assassination of John F Kennedy? ====================================================================== Source A support's source B as it shows Oswald's movements. Source A states that he was at the Schoolbook depository, as he was stopped by a policeman on the second floor of the building one minute after president Kennedy was shot. Source B claims Oswald had no accomplices and this could be backed up by the fact that Oswald used public transport, so therefore did not have a getaway driver. The next movements of Oswald were important. They infer Oswald was in a hurry, as when the bus got caught in traffic at 12:44 hours, Oswald got off the bus and took a taxi at the next junction at 12:48. This could show Oswald ... ... middle of paper ... ...t one another. This could have cleared Oswald's name. Source G states that Arnold Williams said he saw a man on the 6th floor at 12:15. While Carolyn Arnold said she saw Oswald eating his lunch on the 2nd floor at about 12:15. So how could Oswald get from the 6th to the 2nd floor in a matter of seconds? It seems impossible and could clear his name. The way JFK reacted to the shots infers that it came grassy knoll as he fell backwards and not forwards. If he had fallen forwards the shot might well have come from the depository, but I think it did come from grassy knoll. Also source J shows that grassy knoll would have the ideal assassination place. Because it had the easiest shot and a good escape route to the freeway. These are the reasons why I think warren commission's views are wrong and I'm not surprised that they caused controversy.
