Teen Declaration of Independence When in the course of adolescent events, it becomes necessary for young adults to break away from the restraint of adults which has been controlling us for years, we as teenagers have the same God-given and natural rights. Therefore, we must declare the reasons that compel us to obtain freedom. When in the course of human events, students should be entering school a little bit later than the usual. This will give the student more sleep time which then will allow the student to think better when in school. This will also help a student be fully awake and not be sleeping in class. Students will pay more attention and will be ready to learn. Waking up early and going to school early makes a student be sleepy in class. We the students should be getting a later start in school.

As young adults we crave independence. We get tired of our parents telling us what to do, and always look forward to the day when we no longer have to rely on them. We want our freedom, but we never stop to think what life would be like if we had it. In the 1955 film, Rebel Without a Cause, we see a character named Plato living with that freedom. Not by choice, but by his neglectful parents. He gives us a taste of how life without parental control can be damaging to one’s self being, and the absence of parental love and authority can have us seeking the attention we desire in unethical ways. In this case, it causes insecurities, disturbs his mental state, and makes him delusional.
Any people can become an activist. I always hear adults saying “You’re too young to be an activist” and all that other dumb stuff they say. Imagine if you’re best friend was shot at a school shooting. Would you not protest over your best friend being shot?
