Today, many teens have been taking up jobs in fast food restaurants. Getting a job is monumental in a teen’s life, as it represents a way for teens to earn money and gain independence. While these jobs may have negative effects on education, the beneficial effects have a much bigger impact on students lives, as they allow them to gain valuable skills, such as responsibility and teamwork, which are important traits in order for one to succeed in the future. This puts them at an advantage where they don’t need to fully rely on financial aid or their family for these important items. The teen will learn what they need to do as individual to succeed as a team. Unless they are their own boss, the teen will most likely have coworkers that they will have to communicate with in order to efficiently complete the tasks. They also will have the consequence of losing their job; their most likely only source of income and will be forced to comply with working as a team or to stay unemployed.
