Iphones, Computers, Social Media, the most important things to children and adults alike along with being the most recent controversy between parents these days, but are electronics all that bad? Or are there more to them than what meets the eye? Electronics can be used for so many things to benefit us and others, open up plenty of opportunities for all ages and allow us to make so many more connections with others around the world.

Now before we get this show on the road, why don’t we look at all the great things that electronics allow us to do now-a-days? But there's one thing that challenges this: The Face to Face argument. ,“It makes us forget what we know about life. When it comes to certain things, we really need people. What has been most striking is how difficult it is for us to give each other full attention when we have our devices and how much we’re losing out.” (Source 4: Sherry Turkle On How Technology Can Impact Human Connection, para. 4). A comment like this makes me think that these people have never had a conversation through text. Talking through the internet doesn’t “make us forget what we know about life”, you’re still talking to a person in the real world, real time, with real issues and problems to work out with one another. Sure, theres no face to face communication but unless you’re an unsocialized outcast who never leaves the home, than it’s safe to assume that you will not lose basic knowledge of visual and verbal cues when talking face to face. “The goal is to harness the power of our devices for good or convenience instead of constant stimulation or distraction”(Source 4: Sherry Turkle On How Technology Can Impact Human Connection, para.
