Every now and then new discoveries change the way people learn to live in this world. Each generation learns to understand their world from different circumstances, and schools are the main sources where students acquire that knowledge. At the present time, technology is the center of new discoveries. Schools are aware of this situation, teachers want to provide the necessary material in order to teach a new generation how to live in the digital world. Since technology is a complex issue, it requires certain considerations in order to provide its beneficial side to students. Among the many factors to consider, the distraction created by electronic devices, the fast development of student’s mind, and how much it caught student’s attention to encourage learning are essential when choosing technology.

Since technology has diverse characteristics to offer to its users, schools need to focus on the beneficial characteristics which will improve learning. Technology is at the height of popularity today, the majority of people already had an experience with technology and some of them become addicts. Consequently, it is important to consider this characteristic to stimulate the learning since students’ attention will be attracted to it. In Empire High School teachers started to provide electronic material since “school officials believe the electronic materials will get students more engaged in learning” (Source A). For students, if an activity involves technology, then it is entertaining. Another characteristic of this innovative material, is the multiple tasks that a person can do at the same time.
