Recommended: Consequence of sunlight exposure on the human body

Many of us spend a lot of time outside during the summer months. It is important for you to remember to put on sunscreen before you go out in the sun. Below is a list of reasons that sunscreen is a necessity:

Prevent Sunburn

Sunburn is likely to occur as the result of prolonged sun exposure. Peeling, swelling and reddening of the skin are signs of a sunburn. If a sunburn is severe enough to cause blistering, then you are at an increased risk for suffering permanent skin damage. One of the best things that you can do in order to prevent a sunburn is to wear sunscreen.

Keep in mind that sunscreen will protect your skin from burning for about two hours. That is why you will have to reapply the sunscreen every two hours.
