• Sunflower seed – Sunflower oil is the non-volatile oil compressed from sunflower seeds biologically called Helianthus annuus. It is commonly used in food as frying oil, in cosmetics as emollient. It is a mixture of monounsaturated/polyunsaturated oleic acid (omega-9)-linoleicacid group of oils. The seed contains an oil content ranging from 22 to 36% and kernel consists of 45-55% of oil. In recent years there is an increase in demand of sunflower oil and hence hybrid seeds are produced to increase oil production to meet the demand.

It is different from the oil extracted from the kernel of coconut and palm oil extracted from the pulp of palm oil fruit. Palm kernel oil is semi solid at room temperature, is more saturated than palm oil. It is commonly used for cooking as it is relatively cheap and remains stable at high cooking temperature and also for the fact that it can be stored longer than other vegetable oil.
Indonesia is the major producer of Palm Kernel oil with a quantity of 3.8 million tonnes, followed by Malaysia with 2.35 million tonnes. Indonesia and Malaysia are also the largest producer of Palm Kernel oilseed and the major exporters of Palm Kernel oil.

In your book Karl, an SS solider, tries to get your forgiveness for the wrong he has done to the Jewish population. For a person to ask for forgiveness means that they have realized that they have done wrong and want to repent for their mistakes. The big question in your book was “What would you do?” I would’ve done exactly what you did I wouldn’t have granted the solider my forgiveness because he didn’t deserve it.
