How has your experience at UTEP prepared you for the future?
After studying for four years at UTEP it is difficult to summarize all the lessons I have learned that have made me a more prepared individual. I have gone through many great experiences that have not only provided me with skills to succeed in the workforce, but also have changed me for the better, improving my chances to succeed in life.
My time at UTEP has given me many technical skills in regards to the major I’m pursuing. I have not only learned the concepts to become a successful engineer, but also the effort and dedication that is required. All my professors have shown me the passion that any good engineer possesses and the many options that I have ahead of me. I have been taught …show more content…

By participating in the University Honors Program, I have been required to go an extra mile with respect to my learning. Through extra research projects and additional assignments, I have gone over many concepts more in-depth and now I am able to analyze ideas in a more complex manner than before. Being an Honors student at the University has also helped me know more about important issues that surround me. Through the forums offered by the program I have learned about topics that are in nothing related to my major, which has expanded my view of the world.
The perspective that I have on what surrounds me has also been broadened by UTEP through all the opportunities to travel abroad that are offered. Thanks to UTEP’s Office of Scholarships, I had the chance to travel to Italy and Greece and immerse myself in other cultures. The language program of the University has also help me to prepare for the future as now I am able to speak French, something that I did not think possible before. These opportunities to experience unfamiliar environments not only have help me view the world and myself different, but also have made me more capable to adapt in the
