Successes in American Sport Films
Sport Industry and Film industry are both highly developed in America. As a result of that, putting sport elements into movies is a good way to maximum the effect of entertainment. As an international students, though sometimes there is language barrier, it is still a great honor to have opportunities to watch considerable good sport films this semester. While I enjoyed the wonderful exciting stories, the American value system, especially the value of success, always impressed me deeply. In China, people are always talking about and eulogizing American Dream, which is defined as a belief that, in the United States, truly anyone can make it. That is to say, American Dream is that everyone can achieve the success. However, what is the value of success in American value system? It is hard to give a highly condensed answer, yet it is always around in almost every American sport films.
In below section, a variety of successes in these 7 sport movies will be discussed, defined and presented one by one.

I. The Code Breakers
The success value of this movie is about righteous. In fact, that is to say, though sometimes honesty conflicts honor, one should never try to win by cheating.
Unlike most energetic sporting movie, although the topic is about football, the Code Breakers does not concentrate much on court or on success. On the contrary, it talks a serious story about the 1951 cheating scandal at West Point and its influence on Army's football team, which was forced to cut loose virtually its entire squad. ...he performance of singers James Brown and B. B. King in Zaire was really stirring. It contains footage of the "black Woodstock" soul music festival accompanying the fight, which highly makes the movie more worth-watching. I liked that the movie shows Ali’s daily life, which makes audience feel that the legend of Box King is a true story more than an old tale. From this movie, I found that Ali is not an undependable god. He is a talent but also common player, that is to say, he had to prepare for the game, and also he had to say something to the journalist as psychological warfare, and of course he had the possibility to win or lose the game. In this movie, Ali is successful, as well Don King. However, this movie is not to show how successful they are, in fact, the director of this movie just try to present the charm of real Boxing Game of the Century. Thus, I think
