4.1 INTRODUCTION Structural analysis is a process to analyze a structural system to predict its responses and behaviors by using physical laws and mathematical equations. The main objective of structural analysis is to determine internal forces, stresses and deformations of structures under various load effects. In this chapter, the structural plan is taken and it is designed in the sap2000 software by taking the center line diagram and firstly a basic ground level is designed and then the required no of levels is placed according to their different levels of height. The analysis is being checked by firstly placing the beams and coloums to be placed correctly at their position and checked for safety i.e., the slab does not fail and …show more content…

The objective of non-linear analysis is to estimate the maximum load that a structure can support prior to structural instability or collapse. The maximum load which a structure can carry safely may be calculated by simply performing an incremental analysis using non-linear formulation. In a collapse analysis, the equation of equilibrium is for each load or time step. 4.5 MATERIAL AND GEOMETRIC DETAILS 4.5.1 Material details The materials used for the construction of the designed plan is steel of grade415 and to that for coloums and beams is concrete where grade of concrete for coloums is M40 and for beams is M30. Density of concrete is 25KN/m3. 4.5.2 Geometric details (Building details) • Size of coloums: 1) 900mmx900mm 2) 750mmx750mm 3) 750mmx375mm 4) 600mmx300mm • Size of
