Unless you have been living under a rock your whole life you should be aware of the stereotypes that exist in America. These stereotypes are big amongst the African American community. These stereotypes have given a negative depiction of African Americans for years. when the media especially news outlets cover stories it never fails they always make the African American individual that was killed out to be a hoodlum. Even if they have come from a stable background and not the hood Blacks are always viewed as criminals or suspicious looking. were lumped in to the same categories of gang bangers, thugs and criminals. regardless of the credentials you have it is believed we all come from poverty stricken areas or the hood as others would say.
