Step-Stair Investigation
For my GCSE Maths coursework I was asked to investigate the
relationship between the stair total and the position of the stair
shape on the grid. Secondly I was asked to investigate the
relationship further between the stair totals and the other step
stairs on other number grids. The number grid below has two examples
of 3-step stairs. I will use Algebra as a way to find the relationship
between the stair total and the position of the stair on the grid. I
will use arithmetic and algebra to investigate the relationships
between the grid and the stair further. The variables used will be:
Position of stair on grid = X
Sum of all the numbers within the stair = S
Step Size= n
Grid size= g

It is essential that when using evidence-based practice guidelines to choose a treatment, that variety of research methods are applied so that the best relevant data can be produced. Such methods include qualitative/quantitative research, randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews. Both qualitative and quantative methods produce valuable data. Quantative research produces numeric evidence that is necessary for practice and can be measured and qualitative research produces descriptive data about the subject by using patients views etc. which can also be applied to clinical practice (Broeder et al, 2010)
Charlotte Perkins Gilman wrote the poem “An Obstacle” as an autobiographical about her struggles and tough times and facing the obstacles . Gilman lived in Hartford, Connecticut. She was known for her short stories but mostly know for her semi-autobiographical “The Yellow Wallpaper” but she wrote serval different poetry collection and was surely a remarkable female writer of her time and was a role model for authors and readers all over the world. The next year she discovered she had inoperable breast cancer and then committed suicide on August 17, 1935 with overdose of chloroform because she couldn’t handle the stress and struggles in her life anymore. “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” is separated into three sections which incorporates shifts in time for more suspense. The story is told in third person. The time starts in the present, actual time, when a man dressed in civilian clothes is about to be hanged off the bridge. When he is hanged he imagines he could scape death by swimming in the river below him. Than to let us know why he is being hanged and some background of his life, it flashes to the pass. My interests in the STEP programs lies within the fact that it will aid me in achieving a full ride to college. Throughout my whole life, I have been blessed with many amazing things that my parents have worked hard for. By being able to receive a full scholarships, it will be my way of thanking my parents for what they have done for me throughout my whole life. As a result, if I am not able to achieve a full ride scholarship, it would be a huge disappointment. By being apart of the program, I hope to gain knowledge about the steps required to improve my chances of going to a good college and information that will help me become a better human being. It is common for different writers and filmmakers to place tension into their own works in order to inspire different characters into action or to get certain events to occur. In Ambrose Bierce’s short novel, “An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge,” Bierce makes sure to include this tension surrounding Peyton Farquhar and regarding his hanging using vivid descriptions. At the end of the story, it is revealed in a twist ending that his “escape” was just an illusion and he had really been hung. Robert Enrico’s short film adaptation, An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge, tries to portray and imitate the tension that was stored in Bierce’s piece. It was noted that several stairs metal treads was loose. IAW 29 CFR 1910.24, all guard rails must be at a minimum of 42 feet high and capable of withstanding a side force of 200 pounds. I took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference” by Robert Frost, sometimes taking the less popular choice or doing something different from what everyone else is doing can benefit you. I can apply this to my life by being a leader rather than being a follower and by not doing what everyone is doing just to fit in. I think this quote was used in the movie to prove that it is okay to think for yourself and not follow the crowd. The point of the quote was to tell that you can benefit from making the less popular decision. Interpretation The graph 1shows the extraction of the components on the steep slope. The first 5 components are the part of steep slop. The components on the shallow slope contribute little to the solution. The components nine to nineteen are the part of shallow slop. The big drop occurs between the sixth and ninth components, so first 5 components are used for further analysis. The scree plot confirms the choice of six components.
The stairs feel wet and slippery from the leaking of the slide. Im so high up that I'm shivering.
