Saint Therese of Lisieux commenced her short life in the year 1873 in France to her religious parents.Therese is a young Saint,admired as the “Little Flower” and sparked inspiration to the lives of many Catholics. She suffered significantly beginning at the age of four when her mother passed away due to breast cancer followed by her sister Pauline entering the Carmelite convent, which was considered a tragedy to Therese.Soon after, she became extremely ill that many believed that she was dying, she described the people and their staring as “a string of onions” when she came to the realization that her sisters were praying to Mary for her healing. In addition,she prayed , when Mary smiled at her and she was cured,Therese decided to maintain the miracle cure a secret, but word got about and people questioned her and asked if she could describe …show more content…

Therese believes that the Christmas of 1886 was her “conversion” , she wished to join the convent, but was rejected because of her young age and insisted on continuous attempts. Therese asked the Bishop and made in effort into entering a convent but she was carried out by guards. The Vicar General saw the anticipation within her and allowed her to join the convent.In addition, her suffering had increased when her father endured multiple strokes. Therese felt her prayers were dry, but she did not lose faith and continued to attempt a prosperous life. Not far down the road ,she died of tuberculosis on September 30th at the age of 24. Therese believed God, let her die at 24 because if she was a male she would be ordained as a priest.God ended her life to end her
