i. What were your goals for this project? Our goals for this project is to raise at least $100 for Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, but also to earn a good grade. We decide to choose St. Jude because Manuela personally has a one year old boy and she had commented that she saw a television commercial were a young boy was suffering from this horrible disease, but unfortunately lost his battle against cancer. We want create consciousness that with just donating 63 cents a day and $19 a month we can make a big difference, which you can help save a life of one of these children. Did they change before implementation? Why, why not? How? Yes, our plans change before implementing them. Because on October 21, 2015 Augustina mentions through a text that there was a possibility of rain and it was 90%. Each day since then Manuela check the weather for any changes, but the more she check the more higher the possibilities to 100%. If there was 100% chance of rain than the mini yard sale wasn’t taking place at all on November 1, 2015. Instead we had to go with another plan which was to prepare goodie bags and go sell them together at Abena’s neighborhood and explained that we had to raise at least 100 dollars and donated to a charity of our choice which we choose St. Jude because it help millions of children fight the war against cancer and wanted also to create consciousness about it. For that we had showed them our flyer but also our project paper where it said it was part of our management class that explain with more details. iv. What opportunities and challenges did you experience in this stage? How did you deal with them? The opportunities that Manuela experience in this stage was getting to know each team member better .Some of the challenges Manuela experience in this stage was struggling with scheduling teams meetings, members who appear to reject new ideas, if the idea was develop there was a sense of negatively.
