When Jax becomes president he makes changes to the club that allows them to go “legit.” It is then that the Son of Anarchy go into the adult entertainment business. Lyla Winston is introduced in season two as a single mother and a porn star working at the Cara Cara, a pornographic studio owned and operated by Luann Delaney. Many characters including Jax add to the number of sex scenes found in the television series. Some of these sex scenes include passion and love, while others remain “meaningless.” Another way sexuality is portrayed is through the masculine attitudes and behaviors of characters closely connected to the club. In particular, these men portray callous attitudes towards women, while treating some as objects. In one scene the Arian Brotherhood kidnapped and raped Gema, the mother of Jax Teller. The reason behind their actions were to send SAMCRO a message. The Sons of Anarchy were to stop selling guns to blacks or else the Arian Brotherhood would repeatedly rape
At a birds eye glance into the film Au Revoir Les Enfants, it is seen to be within the world war 2 ridden time period of 1944. Further more, the film follows Louis Malle's recounts of his childhood memories, while staying at a Roman Catholic boarding school. The memories explicated though the directors lens, are rather somber and lethargic. For instance, the scene shown between the main characters, Julien Quentin and Jean Bonnet in the eery and desolate woods of Fontainebleau show the harsh cold and foggy elements that cloud sunlight and liberation, and place a perpetual dreary and dark winter. Thus effecting the actions and moods of the children and teachers of the school. Specifically, the war and winter vastly
The setting in both Lord of the Flies and I Only Came to Use the Phone contributes to the dehumanization of the characters in each of the readings. The settings are both isolated, which is the cause of all the chaos that takes place because when you take a human being out of the comfort of society, they go back to their natural animalistic tendencies in order to survive. Survival of the fittest is present in these quotes. Also, the island archetype plays a huge role in both of the stories.

Social order is made and remade through people’s behaviours, interactions and choices and is neither static nor fixed. This essay will provide examples of the ways in which social order is made and remade and how this happens on both a formal and informal level, although when disorder occurs, it is clear to see the level of work that goes into the making and remaking of social order (Blakeley, 2014, p85).
With a dictionary definition (cited above), there is little end result between all definitions besides democracy. monarchy, oligarchy, aristocracy, tyranny all translate to few people or individual(s) ruling with power. Indeed, aristocracy and oligarchy are synonymous within this definition, as well as monarchy, aristocracy, and tyranny. The former being ruled by groups while the latter in definition are ruled by individuals. Not much difference.

When I found out I qualified to be a candidate for the NJHS, I knew I had to take this chance. This group is made up of people who depict leadership, character, citizenship, academic success, and service and I would love to join. These characteristics wouldn't just be valuable for a candidate to have, but for everyone to have to exceed in life. If I were to be in the National Junior Honor Society, it would give me an opportunity to ameliorate my future and motivate me to do better.

The behaviours of the Bra Boys have influenced the way in which they are perceived by the wider society in both a positive and negative fashion. Established in the 1990s, based in Maroubra, the Bra Boys are a gang centred on surf culture, who has gained notoriety through their behaviours, and numerous associations with crime and violence, in addition to some links with community activism. The surrounding culture and environment of Maroubra has played a great role in the formation, and thus values of this group. The Abberton brothers, Sunny, Jai, Koby, and Dakota, began this brotherhood to provide a sense of family and belonging for the children of the local Maroubra area. Nonetheless, the actions of this group have had them labelled as social deviants by the wider society, with the media perpetuating much of this negative image. Furthermore, this false representation of the Bra Boys was further reinforced through advancements in technologies, such as the internet. For example, on the night of December 22nd, 2002, approximately 200 members of the Bra Boys had an altercation involving the local police. The media had reported that gunshots were fired during this fight when in actuality there were none. Accordingly, this altercation saw this group labelled as a criminal gang, who did everything they could to rebel against
Antisocial personality disorder is a personality disorder marked by a general pattern of disregard for a violation of other people’s rights. Explanations of antisocial personality disorder come from the psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, and biological models. As with many other personality disorders, psychodynamic theorists propose that this disorder starts with an absence of parental love during infancy leading to a lack of basic trust. In this view, the children that develop this disorder respond to early inadequacies by becoming emotionally distant, and they bond with others through use of power and destructiveness. Behavioral theorists have suggested that antisocial symptoms may be learned through modeling, or imitation. As evidence, they point to the higher rate of antisocial personality disorder found among the parents of people with this disorder. Other behaviorists suggest that some parent’s unintentionally teach antisocial behavior by regularly awarding a child’s aggressive behavior. The cognitive view says that people with this disorder hold attitudes that trivialize the importance of other people’s needs. Cognitive theorists also believe that these people have a genuine difficulty recognizing a point of view other than their own. Finally studies show that biological factors may play an important role in developing antisocial disorder. Researchers have found that antisocial people, particularly those with high impulse and aggression, display lower serotonin activity and has been linked this same activity with other studies as well.
