America is being guarded by the courageous soldiers of america. Each of those soldiers die to protect the people of America. They risked their lives and fought for our country, to be able to do that is very astonishing. I know that I can rely on those soldiers to protect my family and the people I care about. The soldiers train hard day and night, it amazes me how they must be committed to do that for civilians that they don't even know, and who haven't done anything for them. All of the various type of soldiers are the ones who work hard and sacrifice everything to protect there one love, America. One of the most saddening facts is that there is many deaths and many wars, there is still many to come. For example, one of the most recent
From Sea, Air, and Land, the U.S. Navy Seal Teams are the most feared and respected commando forces in the U.S military if not the world. The Seal Teams are the most elite and highly trained forces on the face of the earth. President John F. Kennedy formed the teams in 1962 as a seagoing counterpart to the U.S Army Special Forces.
The Pennsylvania Army National Guard is a branch of the United States Army that is mostly used today for homeland security. Although the National Guard is not active like the Reserves or Active Duty Army, they still have the same requirements and same responsibility. More than 22,000 men and women make up the Pennsylvania National Guard and Air National Guard today. They reach from state quarters at Fort Indian Town Gap in Lebanon County to about 100 comunities in the commonwealth. Like all National Guard members they share the same responsibilities. For their federal mission, they are trained and equipped to join the active forces in the time of war or a national emergency. For their state mission, they respond to the orders of the governor, protecting the lives and property of people during man made and natural disasters. Their role extends further than floods, blizzards, and riots, everyday they work to clean up the enviorment, fighting to get rid of drugs and other illegal things on the streets, and they serve as role models to generations to come. With the National Guard today you can earn extra money for college, learn job skills that you can use out of the service, and feel better about yourself by serving your hometown and country.

Some occurrences in time will be remembered for all eternity. The deaths of kings, generals, and religious followers have always marred time's beauty. World War I and World War II were not only bloody and heart wrenching wars, but these wars brought together entire nations, even continents, to fight against a common adversary.

America has built a foundation in history for its strength and resolve, and its citizens are willing to fight to keep this foundation in place for future generations.

There are many people that protect America like the army and the navy. Both the army and navy are a part of america but one is better. The army. The army is better than the navy in many ways. The army is very important to the USA. Without it we would be attacked and how would we help ourselves. There are other countries that rely on our supplies therefor they would help us but we can't just count on anyone else. This is why the navy is important as well. Incase they send boats or sometimes planes to attack us.
The United States of America, in its short history, has given birth to numerous brave and honorable men. These men have helped shape and mold the country to what it is today. When someone thinks of men who have molded the United States, one might think of the Founding Fathers or early pioneers like Daniel Boone or Davy Crockett. One might also think of great presidents such as George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. These men laid the foundation of how the country should be led. There is one trait that all these great men possess, and that trait is determination. Determination is what fueled these American Renaissance men to do the great and brave things they did. There is one man who possessed an abundant amount of determination, and he was not going to let his physical circumstances get in the way of his goals in life. By the end of his presidency, he had changed the way the world looked at America. Despite his crippling disability, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was able to overcome his adversity and lead the United States out of the Great Depression and through most of World War II.
Officially, a militia is part of the organized armed forces of a country that is called upon only in an emergency. There have been paramilitary groups with revolutionary ideas throughout America’s history, but today’s militia movement is a new more organized and violent presence (Meyers). Today the militia are unofficial citizens’ armies organized by private individuals, usually with antigovernment, far right agendas. They rationalize that the American people need armed force to help defend themselves against an increasingly oppressive government that is becoming part of a global conspiracy called the “New World Order” (Sonder, 2000). These armed groups call themselves militias; to both imply the image of the Minuteman of the Revolution and to try to claim legitimacy by asserting that these paramilitary groups were the “unorganized militia” of federal and state law. The causes for the militia movement are many, but most center around a fear of gun confiscation and the role such confiscation would play in their various one-world conspiracy theories.
The country that I now deeply love, and even get a little teary eyed when I sing the National Anthem, did not used to be so welcoming to me and people like me. Before my time there were laws against African-Americans living a normal life. A normal life many before me fought for. Life in the 1950’s was not the easiest for African-Americans. Many Whites still saw African-Americans as an inferior race. This meant many simple everyday task were that much harder for Africans-Americans. Housing Segregation, discrimination in courts, discrimination in public places prevented many African Americans from living the American Dream. All of these examples are only the tip of the ice berg. Going out to eat, shopping, even just going for a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park was nearly impossible. Living was hard for African-Americans as well as trying to work. Many men tried to get work but could not because even though slavery was gone segregation as well as discrimination was thriving. Many African-American men may have been well qualified for a job but would be over looked merely for the fact the color of their skin was two shades too dark. In spite of the double standard in society African-Americans were allowed to fight in American wars. While African-American men were struggling to get simple jobs even hard labor jobs nobody wanted Uncle Sam had no problem sending them to the front lines to fight for their country. African- Americans were allowed to fight in the Army and lay their lives on the line for a country that could not even stand to have little white children and little black children sit in the same class room. While African-Americans were allowed to fight in the Army they were not allowed to be in a same platoon as White men. T...
War is one of the most tragic things in our world today. It is even sadder that usually it
The United States is presently at war in Iraq and Afghanistan where American troops are fighting and dying. At home, cars and homes display solid yellow or red, white, and blue ribbons that call for Americans to “Support Our Troops.” It is patriotic for Americans to support their daughters and sons fighting in a war, but this patriotism does not mean that Americans must blindly support the decision to go to war. Being patriotic means that Americans must do the opposite: they must question their government. Questioning the government, voting, and respecting the rights of others are what makes true patriots in a democratic society; blind following of one’s government creates dictatorships.
For example the isis bombing in france and in other places. About 128 people died because of the attack. Also there was six other attacks that same day. For instance the first World War we fought with many of countries because of the assassination of an archduke. Also the Civil War, we were fighting because of segregation in the world. For instance, in school there are kids that fight because of the problems that they have with other people, and in the neighborhoods there are fighting with neighbors and other people. In other words all this connects to the peace that the world needs.
