Providing information to readers about different ways to secure personal information from social media websites. Blocking third-party cookies, Flash cookies, and Dodge tracking can increase a better privacy setting. A user believes there in control when unfortunately that is not the case. It is important that a user should not provide any information that can jeopardize current career and future opportunities. Social networking sites promote the sharing of personal information in the public format. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter promote the oversharing of details of personal lives. So then dealing with these issues the workplace has become more complex with little or no rights to privacy. Privacy briefly explained is a person’s right to choose whether or not to withhold information they feel is dear to them. If this something will not hurt the business, or its party members then it should be kept private. All employees always should have rights to privacy in the workplace. Five main points dealing with privacy in public/private structured businesses are background checks, respect of off duty activities/leisure, drug testing, workplace search, and monitoring of workplace activity. Coming to a conclusion on privacy, are there any limits to which employers have limitations to intrusion, dominance on the employee’s behavior, and properties.
Cookies play a significant role in our daily life, it brings lots of convenient when we use website. However, many people afraid that it will leak our privacy at the same time as it convenient to us. Although cookies are controversial, there is nothing wrong with them. The data collectors should take responsibility to protect users’ information, also users should be aware and careful when they use the website.
The aim of this study was to investigate individual’s behavior around privacy issues and factors affecting it. For this purpose, a research model was developed with external factors (age, gender and profession) and the factors privacy concern, attitude and audience awareness influencing audience behavior. Also, hypotheses were formulated about the research model to examine differences based on gender, age and profession on individual’s attitude, concern and awareness.
When we think about privacy we all want it, we all need it, but in reality do we have it? The one thing that we as humans do is make mistakes .Without us knowing it, we unintentionally do things that might harm others and ourselves.Social media is the culprit in view of the fact that our society falls into this trap of who has the most likes,followers, etc. We post things that we shouldn't have which in fact will have a domino effect .
