Disadvantages children should have the same opportunities to an education regardless of social class, lack of space, and disabilities. Social class should not hold people back from expanding their knowledge. Helen Griffith argues that “no child should be denied their right to learn because of poverty.” Whether the parents of children have a solid or feeble education does not mean that their youth are going to have the same education system as them. Every teacher has a divergent way of teaching than others, thus, children will learn how to read differently than their parents did through school. Yet when he gets to his first class, he finds that the whole room is full of kids. Therefore he is told to leave because there is no space to occupy him. School officials acknowledged that “some classes already violate the health code stipulation that no more than 25 children be included in a class. They said that there is nothing more they can do without further money” (Kleinfield). When schools have a low income of money, there is no possible way for them to add on or expand the school. So when children have no other place to go they get stuck at home with no education but the knowledge they acquire from their parents. Justin Fleet elaborates on the topic that “only about 37 million African children will learn so little that they will not be much better off than those kids who never attend school.” Only 111 million children will get to attend school out of 128 school-aged kids in Africa. The rest of the 17 million get planted on a waiting list, hoping for the next year to attend school. As a result for holding intelligence from children, there needs to be a change in the society's priorities and make schooling for the youth a commitment.
