For my mid term paper I 'm going to talk about single parent children and how it affect them in all aspects of life and how it forces the child to grow up faster than other children that have 2 parents.

As a child of a single parent household. I have first hand experience on the affects of having only one parent to not only take care of me but also show me and teach me about life and the correct choices that I should make in my life to better myself. Parenting is hard enough but parenting by yourself as a single parent is nearly impossible. All of us want money all of us need money but little of us have it. Single parents are no exception. They are the ones that struggle with money issues the most. They need money to help raise their child and to provide food for their family without money these things are not possible. Without money you are limited to the things you can do. You can’t provide clothes, food, shelter, gas, house bills. Money helps a lot for a single parent, but is really difficult. For one single adult to make enough money to provide, it is very difficult for a single parent to come up with the same amount of money that two parents get. This can cause a lot of stress for the parent and make the household a very fragile place to live. There could be a lot of tension in the house, it could cause fights, arguments, physical abuse. These are all scenarios of living in a single parent household. They have to be tough for the child but also tell them what to do and how to do it. But how can a mom show her son how to be a man when the mom doesn’t have a real idea on how to be a man just an idea. Growing up with my mom in a single parent house hold with a older sister I didn’t have a father figure to show me the ways of a man and what men do and what they don’t I had to teach myself. Coming from movies, shows, and music. Came my idea of what a man should be. As I looked for my father figure in movies and in music I have to admit that it was not the best source for a father figure. As I often the right thing to do, was not the right thing to do.
