Columbus and Lindbergh: “A Journey Across The Atlantic” Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh went across two different journeys across the Atlantic at two different times. Do you think you could travel across the Atlantic during their time period? The answer to this question and many other answers will be solved during this essay. Some of the similarities between these two adventurers are that they were both great leaders. Also, they were both fans of traveling. Even though Lindbergh only traveled once he still enjoyed it. Well, these are a few of the skills Mr.Columbus had. Columbus differed from most explorers. Unlike other travelers Christopher Columbus didn’t follow the coastline, Christopher sailed with no land in sight , all he relied on was his navigation. Columbus also first learned to sail when he was only 14 years old , he overcame obstacles such as harsh weather, diseases, and violent people . Although Columbus was a very skilled explorer, Charles Lindbergh was also a very skilled explorer. Lindbergh invented an “artificial heart”. Besides of inventing this, Charles Lindbergh was also very good at politics, writing, and real estate which he worked for awhile in Florida and Minnesota. Lindbergh was a young airmail pilot for Robertson Aircraft being intrigued by the idea of demonstrating publicity , Lindbergh wanted to show that airplanes could safely link to the United States and Europe. At the same time he gave great credibility to civilian pilots and commercial aviation. These are a few things Charles and Christopher were both very skilled at. In conclusion, Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh were both very skilled and known explorers that went through tragestic difficult times to get to where they are now.
