Scientists have been working on space travel for decades and Mars is the most logical first step toward humans being an interplanetary species. We don't just need one nation to be selfish and spread itself to other planets no this needs to be and experience for the world. There are several reasons to go to other planets and mars is just the tip of that iceberg. We need to go to Mars in case of a catastrophic event, overpopulation, and it has a lot of resources, for scientific development.
One, reason we should colonize Mars is in case of some doomsday event, armageddon, apocalypse, or ragnarok. Throughout all human history there have been numeral predictions on how the world will end be it mythology/religion or scientology it has been predicted. Even the famous stephen Hawking has said so in fact he made a list. There are several things pointing to doomsday so how do we escape it? The easiest option, go to another planet, and Mars is perfect for the job. Mars is close to earth so it would be easier to get their, and it also has enough space so we could get a lengthy amount of people there. “The late theoretical physicist said on several occasions that humans need to find a new home, as Earth has shown that it is entering its final phase.” he also said “I don’t think we will survive another 1,000 years without escaping

If the earth is to ever get over populated where would we go? The galaxy of course we could have several cities on different planets through the milky way galaxy. Though we would need somewhere to start a stepping stone and our planetary neighbor is perfect for that position. There are 7.6 billion people on the planet and it growing at a staggering rate. What humans have already done to earth is bad but if we overpopulate than it'll just be worst. To save the planet and the human species we should spread between the planets and eventually the
One of the qualities of the human race is that humans love to explore and find new things, like how Christopher Columbus found America. With most of our planet documented now, where do we have to go? The answer is simply one of the only places we haven’t yet (or may never) explore all of: space. Wars may be waged over land on earth, as there isn’t any new land to find there. So, we can go into space where unexplored land can be conquered and colonized. And while it may not seem like it, in the near future, it may be possible to colonize humans in space.
Why, you ask? Earth’s resources are running out and we will run out of space on Earth, eventually. Even the famous scientist, Stephen Hawking says,” if we want our species to survive, we need to colonize other planets, because we are going to run out of space and resources here on earth.” And by the time that people say,”let’s go to Mars now…”, it will be too late. Either the space programs doesn’t have enough
...egular people, believing that if someone was to go to Mars they might have been able to survive A variety of organic compounds present may mean a life is probable. Also, if the trip to Mars in 2023 turns out to be a positive one, then it will prove to everyone that in the future more and more people will move to this other planet. A lot of people will find it unnecessary to stay on Earth if they can start a new life somewhere else in the galaxy. Even though the trip will have America paying billions and billions of dollars, it truly is worth it. A life on Mars could mean living to an older age and being healthier. The point of going to the Red Planet is to find out if there is a better life somewhere other than on Earth. Just like NASA astronaut, Buzz Aldrin said, humans will most likely reach Mars and when they do humans will turn into a two-planet species.
Mars is our next best hope in life on another planet. Because of science mankind can grow and harvest plants in the modified mars soil, make a thick warm atmosphere, and drink no frozen mars water. Mankind can grow and flourish more as a species with this idea of colonizing mars. With more scientific advancements we can colonize mars and we will colonize mars.
continue to be one for many more. However, the Earth can not sustain us forever. This is
It can also occur in the very near future given our current political climate today, and the nuclear power that the world has. There are many other precursors for civilization to end such as an asteroid, supernova, or global climate change. If we were to colonize Mars it would act as an insurance for if anything were to happen on Earth. Another issue that Earth has, and is becoming more of an issue is population. The worlds population had grown by 4 billion people over the course of 50 years, and is still rapidly growing. This is expending a lot of Earth natural resources and heavily affecting pollution, so sending people to Mars would be able to distribute the population that we have on Earth today. Being on Mars would allow for people to come back to Earth after a catastrophe and repopulate it, so that humanity doesn’t have to reset
What I really want to try to achieve here is to make Mars seem possible, make it seem as though it's something that we can do in our lifetimes - - and that you can go. So first of all, why go anywhere, right? I think there are really two fundamental paths.
Space Colonization - Humanity’s Best Insurance Policy “Mankind was born on earth, it was never meant to die here”. Astronaut Joseph Cooper told his daughter before embarking on a space colonization mission as shown in the movie Interstellar (2013). In the same film, Earth is portrayed as being plagued by sandstorms, rendering vast area of land unfit for agriculture and habitation. In reality, many scenarios may occur that could render Earth unsuitable for human survival; asteroid impact, outbreak of a global pandemic or nuclear war. Therefore, colonizing space would perhaps be the only intelligent way to ensure the preservation of the human species itself.
While the thought of being able to inhabit Earth forever is nice, the probability of that actually happening is low. As time goes on, the possibility of another mass-extinction only increases. It is only a matter of time before an event like the one that wiped out the dinosaurs repeats itself. There are multiple threats facing humanity, some which stem here on Earth, and some that come from other parts of the Universe. This means that humans need to put more effort and thought into the possibility of inhabiting another planet.
Either they could live in underground caverns carved out by lava hundreds of millions of years in the past, or they could terraform Mars, or in other words, alter the environment so we humans can safely roam about without needing a pressurized space suit for oxygen or the fear of being bombarded by harsh ultraviolet radiation. To do this, they would first need to crash an asteroid into Mars, preferably the North or South pole, thus warming Mars up a bit and thickening the atmosphere. Then they would need to transport massive amounts of plants and water to Mars, a process that would take several hundreds of thousands of years. But by doing this, you would allow billions of people to settle on the Red Planet, creating more room back on Earth and fixing the problem of overpopulation for probably several centuries. Mars could also be a new tourist destination for people who always wanted to go there for
We can go explore the ocean and stay on Earth longer. In our lifetime we won´t need another planet to
Space. The final frontier. It is the destiny of Humanity to leave our world, colonize the planets of other stars, and spread throughout the farthest reaches of the galaxy. However, we can’t just go out and start colonizing the galaxy overnight. First off, we need to take relative “baby-steps” and colonize another planet in our Solar System.
Until the oceans are safe, and tech-nology can ensure the safe-ty for all traveling to Mars, we need to stay on
As the future proceeds and life begins getting more technical, Earth may not be the only place where the human race resides. There is already talk that some day Mars will be inhabited by humans. Jupiters moon Europa may be the next after that. Two space missions have already studied Mars. The Pathfinder, which landed on the surface of Mars was one of the missions, and the Global Surveyor, which is a satellite, is the other mission. Although Europa has no set missions yet, The Galileo Spacecraft has passed within 364 miles of the moon Europa and has taken images that have given scientist a good look at the surface ("Oceans on Europa" Internet).
Not only that, but our population has been growing at an extremely alarming rate. At our current rate, our species may not be able to survive for much longer. This is where space exploration comes in. With the recent discovery of water on Mars, and the finding of Kepler-78b, it is possible that mankind can prolong our existence. The possibility of interstellar travel seems to be an option, or even a necessity, if we wish to continue living.
