Why did whoever thought about the idea of making uniforms had to make it were almost all school have to? Oh almost one in five public U.S. Schools made students wear uniforms in 2011-2012. School uniforms goes against students freedom of expression. “ The first amendment of the us constitution guarantees that all individuals have the rights to express themselves freely.” This proves that students should have the rights to express themselves, but in the appropriate or orderly fashion. Uniforms harms some kids comfort zone. “ When students have to wear the same outfits, rather than being allowed to select clothes that suit their body types, they can suffer embarrassment at school.” This proves that uniforms can embarrass some students and they shouldn't have to go through that. …show more content…

However studies show that uniforms have a bad effect on self image. “A 2003, study show by researchers that students without uniforms reported higher self perception scores than kids who wear uniforms. This proves that kids have a higher self of stem about themselves when not wearing uniforms than kids who do.

Wearing uniforms is an awful thing for most kids. Having to wear uniforms takes away kids freedom of expression. Students shouldn't have to wear school uniforms because it doesn't allow individuality, uniforms are very expensive and because it takes away a kid's freedom of expression.
